Jordan–Palestine relations are strong, historical, bilateral relations.

Jordan annexed the West Bank on 24 April , after the armistice agreements. In , King Abdullah inom was assassinated by a Palestinian from the al-Husayni family. After the annexation, all Palestinians in the West finansinstitut became Jordanian citizens.[1] In the Jordanian parliament, there were 30 seats for both the West and East banks, making roughly equal populations. Palestinians in the West Bank did not face discrimination and were given the same equal rights as the Jordanians of the East Bank.[2]

    Palestinians in Jordan refers mainly to those with Palestinian refugee status currently residing there. Sometimes the definition includes Jordanian citizens with full Palestinian origin. Most Palestinian ancestors came to Jordan as Palestinian refugees between and [3] Today, most Palestinians and their descendants in Jordan are naturalized, making Jordan the only Arab country to fully integrate the Palestinian refugees of , as the West Bank was annexed and held by Jordan between and [4]

    In Jordan, there is no official census data for how many inhabitants are Palestinians and it rather depends on the definition of who is a Palestinian.[5] Some million Palestinians were registered as refugees in [6] As of , around , live in ten refugee camps, with the biggest one being Baqa'a refugee camp with over , residents, followed by Al-Wehdat refugee camp with over 51, residents.[1]Minority Rights Group International estimated that there are around 3 million Palestinians in Jordan.[7]
